So, now that our gears are going... here are some curious comments on bed sheets...
Now that I don't suffer from embarrassing back pimples.. for months and months now! Thanks to changing my hair care :) But why am I still getting pimples on my chest? Ok, here's what has recently come to my attention through unintentional trial and error.. so to speak.
I was wearing a regular t-shirt to bed for about a month we'll say (obviously I washed it:p) but a t-shirt none the less.. high neck is important here. My chest started to clear up? pimples weren't forming.. existing ones were fading into tiny specks of redness. Hallelujah!
Well.. I started to get a little warm at night so switched over to wearing a beater. Low neck is important here. Pimples came home. I think I've got about 5 right now on my chest.
I have realised that my duvet cover is giving me acne! I also sleep with my duvet wrapped around my head... kind of like I'm in a cocoon? Could that be why I have severe acne along my jawline? From wrapping my face with this blanket every night?
I'm currently testing this theory.
I went out and bought a bunch more light cotton t-shirts with high necks that are super cute from Urban Outfitters. Vintage! Anyways.. back to wearing high neck T's to bed and those pesky pimps are backing off again.
My second test is.. I've been trying very, very hard to not wrap my head up into a cozy cocoon every night to see if my jaw improves. I have noticed some pretty crazy improvements already and its only been about a week:)
Moral of this story... beds are grosser than we think. Wash your sheets frequently and keep them off your face! Wearing a lose cotton T with a high neck will be my main sleeping wardrobe considering the drastic changes.
The big 'P'
This blog is going to be dedicated to my experience with acne. Hope it helps someone!

Banish that bacne!
I have been off birth control for a year now.. here's what I have learned.
My skin got so bad right after I stopped taking birth control, world war zit all over my jawline, chin, back and chest.. and I don't know about you but my skin scars and gets hyperpigmentation so easily. So now I have the aftermath of that and current/future breakouts to deal with. yay me!
This is how I cleared up my back acne! Its so simple you will laugh. actually it wasn't that simple.. Ill explain.
I changed my shampoo and conditioner! To Sulphate-free!
K, sounds easy right? Well it is... and it isn't. So I tried head and shoulders, silly thing gave me dandruff and dried out my hair! What? Weird. Although I did notice my back starting to look a tad better. So I went the extra mile and got organic shampoos that were sulphate free. I cant remember the names of all the ones I tried.. but they left my hair feeling gross, not cool!
This is what I am using right now: Aveeno Active Naturals Pure Renewal Sulphate-free Shampoo (that's a mouth full!) and Organix hydrating Teatree Mint Sulphate-free Conditioner.
My hair is pretty fine.. I don't have a lot of it and this doesn't weigh my hair down but leaves it feeling clean and wonderful! And my back you ask? COMPLETELY CLEAR :)
This shampoo and conditioner may not work for you for whatever reason, we aren't all the same! However, if you are suffering from back acne, try changing your shampoo and conditioners to sulphate-free ones.

The dirty list
Over the past fourteen years I have tried practically everything short of scraping my face off to try and get rid of my acne.
I have had SEVERE acne, to moderate acne, to no acne at all! Here are some of the products I have tried over the years.
Proactive.. 'HAHAHA' is all I should really say to explain how I feel about this line. I remember when it first came out, I saw the commercial on TV and everyone looked so happy and said to be having great success! Well this was the beginning of it all. I fell for it. And who wouldn't? If you have been SUFFERING with acne like I have, you will try just about anything to make it stop.
Long story short, it did shit all. Oh wait, no sorry, it dried out my skin. Period.
moving on..
I tried Accutane. It helped, was it worth it? No. The acne came back pretty much right away and with a vengeance. Not worth the risks at all.
Birth Control. This works. However, it does matter which type of birth control you go on. I was on Diane 35 for years and years. Worked like a charm! I had great skin when I was on that product. Although.. I'm twenty-seven now, I've been on birth control for fourteen years. Needless to say I have been off birth control for a year now and I am battling the pimples once again!
Sidebar.. when I went off birth control my skin instantly exploded! Pimples for days some might say.
I have tried practically every drugstore acne cream and face wash, Its all garbage. If you are looking to get rid of your acne and you are ok with being on birth control, regardless of what I say in my next blogs on this subject, it is my highest recommendation to get rid of acne. It just isn't something I want to continue with anymore.

Short intro
My first pimple probably happened like most 13 year old teenagers... suddenly invading my personal space and 'ruining my life' as I know it.
As my teenage years trickled by, the one thing I could always count on being there through my rollercoaster of an adolescence was my acne. After every meltdown my mom would always say to me, "Don't worry, you will grow out of it." I have held on to those words of hope so tight that fourteen years have now passed by...
Here is my story, what I have tried, what has worked and what hasn't.
